Nostalgia is the reaction of our senses when exposed to certain facts that affect our memory.
Nostalgia is an open wound.
Or, as I read somewhere, in Greek, nostalgia means “the pain from an old wound”.
It’s not always as we thought it would be.
It’s not always a predictable reaction.
Nostalgia is both bitter and sweet.
Nostalgia is a tear falling down into a smile.
Or a smile that ends up in tears.
Nostalgia is scratching the scars.
We have many scars. Scars are easy to deal with.
But there’s always the wound.
That wound that never turns into a scar.
That wound that is always there.
Bleeding...
